After two years of studies at the CFT Gobelins, from 1989 to 1991, Yoshimichi Tamura is committed to TV Disney Animation, where he begins his career on series such as “Gooftroop” and “Marsupilami”. The movie “Goofy movie” marks his debuts animator in feature films . From then, he goes on working on various movies ( “Tarzan”, “Hercule”, “Atlantis”, “The hunchback of Notre-Dame”), but also on shorts such as “Destino” or “Runawaybrain”.
Dreamworks SKG, in Los Angeles, commits him for the movie ” Sinbad: legend of the seven seas “. He then continues with “Sharktale”, ” Flushed away ” and ” Over the hedge “. After four years spent in the studio, he returns to France and animates on “Nocturna”, ” Everyone’s hero “, “Lucky Luke” and “Igor”. Since he enjoys airplanes so much, he leaves France for the States once again, this time for Disney’s ” Princess and the frog “.
PLANKTOON Biography
The five PLANKTOON team agitators come from various creative horizons. Special effects, comic books and graphics arts. They combine their talents on the swarming fields of 3D and animated films.
After some very quickly noticed short films on internet, Sun Limet, Alban Lelievre, Fabrice Senia, Alexandre Henri, and Sebastien Pribile collaborate with Nickelodeon, TeamTO and Disney on some series’ pilot programs. They also quickly start directing advertising films.
PLANKTOON distinguishes itself by a unique visuel universe, funny, poetical and absurd. Their mastery, their originality and their sharp sense of detail, make it a special and expert structure in all the production steps of a project.
