ATTRACTIONS
The center of the shopping area is the corner of Girard and Prospect. The two main shopping streets meet to form the heart of downtown La Jolla. Just south of La Jolla is Wind n Sea Beach. To the north is the famous Scripps Institute of Oceanography which is part of the University of California San Diego campus.The eastern part of La Jolla is climbs up Mt. Soledad, (“Mountain of Solitude” in Spanish), and is topped by a war memorial that overlooks all of San Diego.
