For nearly a decade, Tabitha Denholm has haphazardly rollicked across the globe as one half of London’s DJ/promoter duo Queens of Noize. In the early 00s, the pair’s weekly Smash and Grab party in Shoreditch (and later Camden) became one of the biggest club nights in London, supplying escapism to its fabulous patrons via unpretentious, danceable sets. It was at one such party that Denholm’s partner in noize, Mairead Nash, was serenaded in the loo by the then unknown Florence Welch––Nash was so impressed she became her manager. The creative duties for this new undertaking naturally fell to Denholm, who provided the art direction and logo for Florence and the Machine’s debut album, Lungs, before progressing to a series of video collaborations with photographer Tom Beard. To date, Beard and Denholm have directed videos for FATM’s “Rabbit Heart,” “Cosmic Love,” “You Got the Love” and “Heavy in Your Arms.” More recently, Denholm captured Welch’s travels across America in a series of short movies, directed a video for new artist Alice Gold, and documented the Mystery Jets’ adventures in Austin, Texas.
