Olivier French was born in Grenoble, France. At age 7 his family
immigrated to Australia where he grew up. He has been living in
New York City for the past 16 years.
A trained actor, Olivier has worked in theatre and film. His latest
project BIRTHDAY GIRL (Actor, writer, director) is a short film
and pilot for the new web series SINNER. It recently premiered at
the FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2012 and is now in development as
both a web series and feature film. Other projects for 2012 include
the feature film PARTS OF A WOMAN, (Playing lead) which is
scheduled to shoot in Bangkok, Thailand in mid October.
In 2010 Olivier formed a new company VIRAL CINEMA
STUDIOS to create, produce and distribute BRANDED premium
cinematic content including short films, web series, fashion films
and feature films.
BLACK BOX, which will be playing at the LA JOLA FASHION
FILM FESTIVAL, was the first project created by Viral Cinema
Studios for the brand BOXOX.ME. It had it’s world premier at the
FESTIVAL THE CANNES 2011.
A committed cinephile, Olivier is greatly inspired by French and
Italian Cinema of the 1960’s and 70’s as well as American cinema
of the 70’s.
