ALEXANDER HAESSNER

Before he set out to create some of the most evocative fashion films in recent years, German-born, Brooklyn-based Alexander Haessner explored many different avenues of artistic expression. From fine art and portrait photography, to shooting films on a high-speed camera, Haessner’s quest to tell stories eventually led him to the emerging fashion film genre, where he’s carved a niche as an emerging talent whose narratives take precedent over the exhibition of clothes.

After completing his studies in art, Alexander Haessner began his photographic career in the late 90’s in Germany and gained a reputation as a fine art and portrait photographer. Specializing in the Motion Picture Industry, Alexander traveled throughout Europe as a High-Speed Cinematographer.

After moving to the United States in 2002, he began fine-tuning his abilities at the renowned Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara and earned a degree in Commercial and Advertising Photography.

Since 2005, Alexander is based out of Brooklyn, New York.

In addition to producing portraits and editorial fashion for Bullett Magazine, Flaunt, YRB, and Zink, Alexander Haessner also created successful advertising campaigns for Walmart, Yamuna Body Rolling and Fearless Music among others.

His Fashion Films have appeared on several websites including exclusives for Portable.tv and Imagine Fashion.
